In 2007 Simon Clarke fulfilled a lifelong ambition by successfully competing in the grueling double-handed Transat Jacques Vabre, a 4,300nm double-handed race from Le Havre in France to Salvador, Brazil.
‘Clarkee’ has been at the forefront of the International ocean racing circuit for 20 years and is a popular and highly respected individual. His dedication, passion and legendary attention to detail have helped him gain unparalleled experience and he has been the unsung hero of many notable campaigns including Hugo Boss, Bounder and Team Tonic.
Clarke’s Rogers Class 40 has been specifically designed and optimised for short-handed transatlantic races. It is a good all-round boat that would also provide an ideal platform for corporate entertainment.
Simon is now seeking sponsorship to enable him to further his Class 40 short-handed campaign, which continues this year in May with the famous single-handed transatlantic race from Plymouth to Boston.
Simon is a tough, highly competitive and driven character who, together with his yacht, will provide a sponsor with an extraordinary and unique marketing platform which will offer very good value for money.
Note: Simon Clarke's Open 40 will be available for charter
and corporate hospitality after the finish of the Artemis Transat
